    2. I have death records from the early 1800s that mention burial in the "Creek Graveyard". I do not see this cemetery on current maps but I do see it referred to on some web pages. Is it possible that this cemetery was renamed? If not, does anyone know the location? See http://www.tngenweb.org/cemeteries/index.html#!cm=2096077 that says: " The exact location of this cemetery is unknown, other than that it is in the Panhandle area...."For the sum of $25.00, Alice Jones sold to Frank Lambert and Raymond Uselton, Trustees of the Creek Cemetery and their successors, a parcel of land containing 1 acre, more or less, in the 16th Civil District of Coffee County. The deed was signed on Aug 25, 1947. Frank Lambert died on Oct 3, 2003, and is buried in the Lynch Cemetery-which is also in the 16th CD."

    3. The following is our meeting announcement with the meeting place in the body of the message rather than subject only.  This makes for better cutting and pasting.  Also there was an error in one of the phone numbers and the full title of the journal. The Moore County Historical Society will meet Sunday Nov. 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Masonic Lodge in Lynchburg, Tennessee. Judy Boyd Terjen will give a presentation on the personal journal of her mother,  Mary Avon Motlow Boyd.  The Journal was titled "It Happened on Mulberry Creek" and tells of Mary Avon Boyd's childhood years in Lynchburg.   This journal was printed for her family and there are no copies in public hands.  Mary Avon Boyd wrote about her early life in Lynchburg. It is 89 pages and flows as a historic story. It will give a unique view on life in the early part of the 20th century in Lynchburg. Mary Avon Motlow Boyd, 105, of Boca Raton, FL and Lexington, KY, was the widow of James C. Boyd, died Wednesday, August 23. 2017 A native of Lynchburg, TN, she was born May 10, 1912, daughter of the late Lem and Ophelia Evans Motlow. She was a graduate of Ward Belmont in Nashville, TN and Duke University. I strongly believe Littleton is tied to the Michael Meadows family line, but cannot find the children of the sons of Michael Meadows as listed in Michael's will. Also, it is possible that Littleton's  father was a brother of Michael Measows, such as John Meadows. Again no children are found for John. Very little is found of these families. 3. Thank you so very much Paula, thanks for your query. I'm working tomorrow at the Coffee County Historical Society office and will see what we have on the Crawford family for you. Pat Berges, Recording Secretary Coffee Co. Historical Society -----Original Message----- From: pj <pj@apex.net> Sent: Thursday, June 28, 2018 3:09 PM To: crawford@rootsweb.com; tncoffee@rootsweb.com; tnwillia@rootsweb.com; tnfrankl@rootsweb.com Subject: ([TNCOFFEE])CRAWFORD I am Paula Howard Thompson-Lamb. I have been researching 55 years or better. My male cousin by the surname of HOWARD did the Ancestry DNA test, our results is all kin to CRAWFORD Earliest I have Dorcas HOWARD is 1850 in Coffee Co, Tn and again in 1860 Her children are living with her, 2 girls and 4 boys I have not found her in 1870 but did find one son, Columbus “Lum” in Franklin Co, Tn. No Dorcas . 1880 finds Columbus and family with Dorcas living in Williamson Co, Tn. 1900 finds Columbus and family living in Tipton Co, Tn but no Dorcas. . I feel like Coffee Co should hold some answers about CRAWFORDs and HOWARDs or at least surrounding Cos Dorcas was born abt 1810 Children born from 1836 to 1853 time frame all Tennessee Any help is appreciated. I have had this information since 2009 but just now could bring myself to admit all this......I need help, I am getting old, disable and can not go to libraries and courthouses anymore and I surely would like to know about all this before it is too late. thanks pj _______________________________________________
