Hello - I would like to hear from anyone researching this family: General Alexander E. Smith - had a son by the same name. The General died in 1872 - had a large estate that went to his only son. The headquarters for the soldiers of the Confederate Army in 1861-1865 was the home of Gen. Smith. Grandsons: Thomas Lucius Smith William Roadman Smith Augustus Smith Theodore Melvin Smith I am especially interested in learning more about Thomas Lucius Smith.
