I am searching for information on Thomas L. Smith - he may have had the middle name of Lucius. He was born abt. 1833 and married to Margaret (Mary) Cluck. (She may have been from Jefferson County, TN). Their children: Frank(lin) Pierce Smith b. 7/22/1857 Julia A. Smith b. 1860 Alice b. 1870 Thomas died before the 1870 Cocke County census. On the 1850 Cocke County census he is living in the household of the Rev. Thomas Smith, but I don't believe he was the Rev's son. Possibly a grandson, great grandson, nephew or maybe even just a boarder with no relation! Anyone searching the Smith's in Cocke County - do you recognize this name?? I would love to hear from you!
