From The Knoxville News Sentinel 17 Dewc 2004 DAVIS, MR. JOSEPH ROY - age 76, of Tazewell, passed away suddenly Thursday morning December 16, 2004 at his home. Preceded in death by: brothers: Jack, Doc, Bill and Mont Davis; parents: Jim and Molly Davis; sister: Pearl Haynes. Survivors include: wife of 48 years: Margie Pauline Davis of Tazewell; children: Joseph Larry "Joey" Davis of Rutledge, Robert Wayne "Bobby" Davis of Tazewell, Melissa Dawn (Missy) Fleeman of Tazewell; grandchildren: Christopher Allen Fleeman, Felicia Jo Fleeman, Robert Wayne Davis, Jr., Jessica Lee Greer, Trena Renee Davis; great grandchild: Austin Wayne Greer; sisters: Irene Arp of Maryville, Zelma Brooks of Tazewell; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Friday at the Claiborne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 pm Friday in the Claiborne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Walker officiating. Music will be provided by the Liberty Quartet and Barbara Hatfield. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 am Saturday in the Irish Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Jerry Davis, Don Davis, Clinton Davis, David Arp, Robert Davis, Chris Fleeman. Honorary Pallbearers: J.T. Venable, Hollis Venable, Phil Greer.
