From the Knoxville News Sentinel 24 Nov 2004 COX, MR. RAYMOND CARSON - age 58 of New Tazewell, was born December 31, 1945 and passed away November 22, 2004 at Methodist Medical Center. He was a life long resident of Sharps Chapel. He was a member of Blue Springs Baptist Church. He was a member of the U.S. Army and served in Korea. He enjoyed people, was a loving and caring father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing and bingo. He enjoyed working in the woods and being outside. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at family reunions. He was preceded in death by: parents, Cillis and Ollie Brantley Cox; daughter, Shonda Cox; 3 brothers, Clondo Cox, Jack Earl Cox, and Wayne Cox; sister, Bertha Cupp. He is survived by: daughters, Angie and husband Doug Jordan of New Tazewell, TN, Tonya Cox of Maynardville, TN, Lori and husband Dylan De Vault of Maynardville, TN, Crystal and husband Larry Collins of Maynardville, TN, Heather Cox of Maynardville, TN; brothers, J.C. and wife Asalie Cox of Maynardville, TN, Howard and wife Paulette Cox of Tazewell, TN, Steven and wife Rhonda Cox of Sharps Chapel, TN; sisters, Mae Ruth Nelson of Maryville-Lafollette, TN, Ann and husband Lewis Sharp of Maryville-Lafollette, TN, Linda and husband Michael Bowman of Maryville-Lafollette, TN, Rachael Duncan of Sharps Chapel, TN, Mary Lou Woods of Knoxville, TN; 4 grandchildren, Felicia Jordan, Victoria Jordan, Raven De Vault, Carson Liam Winters; special friends, Willa Collins of Maynardville, TN, Janice Cox of Maynardville, TN.
