    2. From The Knoxville News Sentinel 4 Nov 2004 EARLS, KENNETH CHARLES, SR. - age 72 of Knoxville, formerly of Tazewell, went home to be with Jesus on November 2, 2004. Kenny, who was born August 6, 1932, was a member of Fairview Baptist Church located in Tazewell, Tennessee. Kenny was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War and was preceded in death by: his parents, Tip Earls, Sr. and Ethel Butcher Earls; brothers, Tip Earls, Jr., Edward Lee Earls, and Rufus Earls; and sister, Linda Faye Earls. Kenny is survived by: his loving wife of 48 years, Pat Earls; daughter, Sandra Earls Metler and husband Tommy Metler; sons and daughters- in-law, Charlie and Angie Earls, Donnie and Sharon Earls, Ricky and Jamie Earls, Mike Earls, Herschel and Melissa Earls; grandchildren, Nicole Spires, Kenneth Metler, Amber Earls Blake and husband Bryan Blake, Danielle Earls Kirkpatrick and husband Jason Kirkpatrick (Puny), D'Wayne Earls, Amanda Earls Gann and husband James Gann, Tiffany Earls, Brenda Waller and Stephanie Earls; sisters, Zolian Earls Pace of Tazewell, Joyce Cook Neal and husband Joe Neal of Knoxville, Louella Earls Surber and husband James Surber of Monroe, MI, Georgia Earls Fultz and husband Stanley Fultz of Monroe, MI; brothers Ray D. Earls and wife Margie of Sterling Heights, MI, Cecil Earls and wife Sharon of Tazewell, sisters-in-law, Ruth Earls and Susie Earls; very special friend and neighbor, Caroline Mooney; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Kenny is also survived by: his beloved dog, "Penny." Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Friday at Highland Memorial Chapel, Reverend Walter Hill officiating. Graveside service 1:00 p.m. Saturday Highland Memorial Cemetery, with Military Rites provided by Volunteer State Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Highland Memorial Chapel. Pallbearers are: Charlie Earls, Donnie Earls, Ricky Earls, Mike Earls, Herschel Earls and Tommy Metler. Honorary Pallbearers are: Kenneth Metler, D'Wayne Earls, James Gann, Jason Kirkpatrick and Bryan Blake.
