Lillis Palmer 11/15/2004 Dec. 20, 1912-Nov. 13, 2004 Services have been set for Lillis Palmer, 91, of Monroe, who died Saturday afternoon in her home. She had been in poor health for eight months and seriously ill for two days. Friends may call until 8 tonight today at Bacarella Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Dr. Kenneth Dunn, pastor of First Baptist Church of Monroe, will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Born Dec. 20, 1912, in Claiborne County, Tenn., she was the daughter of Calvin and Cora (Burke) Owens. Surviving are a stepson, Gilbert C. (Janine) Palmer of Monroe; four step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren, and several step-great-great-grandchildren.
