HAZEL G. - age 97 of Tazewell, TN was born October 02, 1907 and passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at her home. She was a very faithful and oldest member of Springdale Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents: Marion and Eliza Hurst; her husband: Fred Hurst; brother: Alvin Hurst. She is survived by her daughters: Jo Ann Ferguson and husband Lawrence of Tazewell, TN, Joyce Lamm and husband Bill of Columbia, SC; grandchildren: Scott Lamm of Gatlinburg, TN, Billy Lamm of Columbia, SC, Sherry Hatfield and husband Tom of Tazewell, TN, Mark Ferguson and wife Tammy of Tazewell, TN; great- grandchildren: Stephanie and Katelyn Hatfield, Rachel and Dillis Ferguson; sister-in-law: Hilda Hodges of Tazewell, TN; great-nephew: Ashley Yeary of Tazewell, TN; 2 step- great grandchildren: and 3 step-great-great grandchildren; and a host of friends. The family will receive friends Friday, November 26, 2004 from 5 till 7:30 PM with funeral services to follow at 7:30 PM in the Claiborne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Hatfield and the Rev. Leonard Brooks officiating. Music by Barbara Hatfield. Graveside services 11:00 AM Saturday, November 27, 2004 at the Irish Cemetery. WILLIAM J. - age 81 of Sharps Chapel passed away 7:24 p.m. Wednesday November 24, 2004 at his home. Preceded in death by father and mother Mifford and Mattie "Stooksbury" Loy. He was a farmer and ran a sawmill in Sharps Chapel and was a member of Irwins Chapel Methodist Church. Survived by wife of 32 years Marain "Parker" Loy of Sharps Chapel and several cousins and special friends, Guy and Karen Sturms of Sharps Chapel and his neighbor friends; sisters in law Bobbie Robbins and husband Bill of Maryville Tn., Evelyn Dishmon and husband Bill of Knoxville Tn. The family will receive friends from 12 noon til 2 p.m. Friday at Irwins Chapel Methodist Church on Old Valley Rd. in Sharps Chapel with funeral services at 2 p.m., Rev. Gary Tye, Rev. Herbert Jones officiating, music by Karen Sturms. Interment will follow in Loyston Cemetery on Hickory Valley Rd.
