From The Knoxville News Sentinel 15 Sep 2004 GRAVES, MRS. JESSIE DAVIS age 85, of Tazewell, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2004 at the Alexandria Hospital in Alexandria, VA. She was a member of Tazewell United Methodist Church. She was a Librarian in the Claiborne County School System for 30 years. She was a big Lady Vols Fan and a world traveler. She was preceded in death by: husband, George Graves (who owned Graves Drugstore); beloved sister, Nell Ramsey; other brothers and sisters. She is survived by: sons, Dr. George Graves of Silver Springs, FL, Dr. Wayne Davis Graves of Kansas City, MO, Dr. John Michael Graves of Ocala, FL; daughters, Dr. Nancy Graves Mitchell of Woodbridge, VA, Elizabeth Graves Wisener of Tybee Island, GA; 6 grandchildren: Natasha, Larisha, Caleb, Alexandria, Andre, Estee; 1 great grandchild, Emma; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2004 in the Claiborne Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2004 in The Irish Cemetery with The Rev. Eddie Overholt officiating. Pallbearers: Family.
