Hi folks, This is mostly for the newest subscribers and we have tons of them lately....... The Cemetery Association is having a raffle to raise funds to clean and clear approximately 10 Cemeteries that are in desperate need of help. If you'll go to the website all the info (pictures of my grandma's quilts, contact address, etc.) for the raffle is available. http://www.rootsweb.com/~tncctca/index.htm If you haven't visited the website before be sure to check out all the before and after pictures of some of the Cemeteries they've cleaned up recently. Also, I'd like to mention that when I was back visiting a few months ago Joyce took me to the Pinnacle at Cumberland Gap. The ranger station there has a gift shop and has several quilts for sale.....my Grandma Cleo's are just as nice as those and the least expensive one was selling for upwards of $1,200 (not a typo) on up to $2,400 depending upon their size. These are real pieces of art as far as I'm concerned but I'm prejudice! <G> Please help them out, last time I checked they had almost enough to cover the cost of buying the quilts and the whole object is to raise MORE and put the funds towards Cemeteries in dire need. Warmest Regards, Cousin Pam ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Researching the following surnames: BREEDING, CRUTCHFIELD, CUPP, ELLISON, ENGLAND, FAULKNER/FORTNER/FORKNER, FIELDS, GOIN, GREER, HUBBS, HURST, JOHNSON, KECK, KILLION, OUSLEY/OWSLEY, ROARK, RUSSELL, SNAVELY, WAGGONER, WYRICK, and other assorted and connected families. In addition to what Pam said, just a note to remind everyone that the Claiborne County Cemetery Association is a "Non-Profit Organization", and falls under State and Federal IRS 509(a) (1) classification for non-profit exemption, so all contributions are tax deductible.
