Published September 18, 2004 Harrogate, Tenn. - Mrs. Mary Jo McWilliams, 75, was born February 17, 1929 and passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2004, at the University of Tennessee Hospital. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Harrogate, the Nancy Hanks Society, and the Harrogate Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her parents A.L. and Flora Cook Owenby; and her husband, Harry McWilliams. Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Carmalita Owenby of Maryville, Tenn.; sons and daughters in-law, Owen and Darliss Owenby of Cumberland Gap, Tenn., Harry Jr. and Cathy McWilliams of Nashville, Tenn., Michael and Kristy McWilliams of Dandridge. Tenn.; grandchildren, Paula Wright, Guy Snyder, Matthew McWilliams, Michael McWilliams Jr., Christina McWilliams, Joshua Aaron Owenby, Madison and Morgan McWilliams; great-grandchildren, Steven Wright, Stacey Wright, Aaron Snyder, Garrett Snyder, Owen McWilliams, Rebecca Grace McWilliams, Sydney McWilliams, Kirsten Clifford; sisters, Reba Lucas of Middlesboro, and Marlene Earp of Ashville, N.C.; and a host of special cousins and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday at Coffey Funeral Home, Harrogate Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Clendaniel presiding. Music will be provided by Carolyn Williams and Wanda Evans. Graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at Harrogate Cemetery. Pallbearers are Guy Snyder, Matthew McWilliams, Michael McWilliams, Kelly Chumley, Larry Burchell and Roy Kendall. Honorary pallbearers are Michael McWilliams, Jack McWilliams, Bobby McWilliams, Manny Latorre and Dick Nevils. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Coffey Funeral Home, Harrogate, Tenn., which is in charge of arrangements. **************************** Published 9-16-2004 Tazewell, Tenn. - Lowell Bolton Lynch, 61, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2004. He was a teacher with the Claiborne County School System for 30 years, and was a newly elected member of the Claiborne County School Board. He also served in the Tennessee State Legislature when they revised the State Constitution. He held several positions with the Tennessee Conservative Union, was a delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1992, and was active with the Tazewell Jaycees for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, G. Ted and Maude Lynch; grandfather, Dr. George T. Lynch; aunt, Margineal Lynch. Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Lynch of Tazewell; son, Michael Lowell Lynch of Knoxville, Tenn.; brother, Roger Lynch and wife Darlene of Maynardville, Tenn.; nephews, James Lynch, Bill Lynch, Robbie Thomas, and James Michael Thomas; nieces, Stephanie Sulfridge and Jennifer Sulfridge. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in the Irish Cemetery with the Rev. Eddie Overholt officiating. Pallbearers will be Richard Beeler, Stewart Collingsworth, Hollis Bush, Keith Campbell, Mike Campbell, and David Tripp. Honorary pallbearers are Kelly Harrell and Lloyd Daugherty.
