Donna J. Moody 10/18/2004 July 5, 1944 - Oct. 16, 2004 Donna J. Moody, 60, of Monroe died at 11 p.m. Saturday in her home. She had been in ill health for 10 years. Friends may call from noon until services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rupp Funeral Home. The Rev. Rick Massingill, pastor of Church of God Mountain Assembly, will officiate. Born July 5, 1944, in Monroe, she was the daughter of Major and Montana (Sweat) Fortner. She married Billy Keith Moody, July 1, 1963, in Monroe. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Mickey G. (Alania) and Terry C., both of Monroe; two daughters, Kelly K. (Bob) Hall and Cristy M. Moody, both of Monroe; three brothers, Arnold (Phyllis), Robert (Betty) and Jerry (Debbie), all of Monroe; a sister, Betty Besedich of Monroe, and nine grandchildren. ******************************* James C. (J.C.) England 10/7/2004 Aug. 20, 1934-Oct. 5, 2004 Services have been set for James C. (J.C.) England, 70, of Monroe, who died at 8:49 p.m. Tuesday at Mercy Memorial Hospital, where he had been since Aug. 28. He had been in poor health for three years. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Bacarella Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Randy D. Pierce, Mr. England's son-in-law, and the Rev. Guy C. Ervin, pastor of First Christian Baptist Church, Newport, will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. Born Aug. 20, 1934, in Fork Ridge, Tenn., he was the son of William and Edda Mae (Woods) England. He married Shirley M. Gray Nov. 17, 1954, in Monroe. He came to Monroe in 1951 from St. Charles, Va. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Sandy K. (the Rev. Randy D.) Pierce and Naoma L. (Tom) Lambrix, both of Monroe; a brother, Floyd G. (Donna) of Monroe; two sisters, Oma E. (Marvin) Rogoff and Juanita Dye, both of Monroe, and three grandchildren.
