    2. >From the LaFollette Press 26 Oct 2006 Luda B. Monday, age 90 of Speedwell Pauline Cooper Queener, age 91 of Jellico Luda B. Monday, age 90 of Speedwell passed away Oct. 21 at the St. Mary's Health and Rehab in Campbell County. She was a member of Mountain Assembly Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Monday Sr.; son, Boyd Monday Jr.; grandson, James Leach; brothers, Kerney, Austin, and Casper Turner; sisters, Lezzie Monday, Bonnie Harris. She is survived by her sons and daughters in law, J.B. and Sarah Monday of Jacksboro, Richard and Diana Monday of Monroe, MI, Casper and Shirley Monday of Monroe, MI, Alva and Joyce Monday of Caryville. Sons: Terry Monday of Tazwell, Chester Monday of Speedwell, Leo Monday of LaFollette, daughters and sons in law, Tracy and Kennith Smith and Shirley and DT Berry all of Speedwell, Iva Dean and Orville Mallory of Dayton, OH; daughters, Irene Leach of LaFollette, Rosie Cormack of Covington, KY; 26 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren; sisters, Thelma Hamlin of Monroe, MI., Etta Kelly of Monroe, MI; several other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Oct. 24 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with the Rev. Jack Goins and Rev. Paul Hembree officiating. Interment was in the Academy Cemetery. Martin Wilson Chapel was in charge of the arrangements. Pauline Cooper Queener, age 91 of Jellico passed away Oct. 20 at the Huntsville Manor in Huntsville, TN. She was born in Eagan on Aug. 27, 1915 the daughter of the late Homer and Rose Ellen Parrot Cooper. She was a homemaker, skilled gardener, and expert in needlework. A member of First Baptist Church of Jellico, she taught boys' Sunday School class for many years and was active in numerous church committees and projects. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Queener; son, Loren Ray Queener; brothers, Harold Cooper, Bob Cooper and Ronnie Cooper. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, June and Rayford Watts of Williamsburg, KY; granddaughter and great grandson, Julia and Alec Watts of Knoxville; sister, Jeanette Davis of Pontiac, MI; favorite nephew, James Davis of Goodrich, MI. Graveside services were held Oct. 24 at the Jellico Cemetery with the Rev. Danny King officiating.
