hello list, i was wondering if a lot of you on this list has had DNA done? i have a 12 marker, a cousin a 25. we are on the WORLDWIDE MOORE DNA PROJECT. our DNA was done thru familytree. as some of you know i'm searching for my great grandfather JACK MOORE as we are told. we found a son has said his dad was from TX. mom from MO. ok i've found a NANCY ANN MAYES matching that. she died young, as we are told. i've did searches with Steve's DNA. interesting to find as close matches: LOVE & WILLIAMS. a BLACKWATER,VA MOORE line that has many marriages in CLAIBORNE Co. has a DANIEL LOVE MOORE. & his brother ROBERT LEE MOORE's side has a son GRANT ,m.KATIE WILLIAMS. this line always claimed related to us. the DNA i'd like to compare charts to all MOOREs that have had DNA done & any other surnames that you would care to share. as i search, i get a feeling we are not either MOORE or MAYES. could be wrong. i was thrown a loop when a cousin said we were not MOORE but O'MOORE or other spelling variat. anyone with that spelling. some where out there is my missing link! thanks Ray Moore. thanks Ray Moore. my home Counties are: CLAIBORNE, GRAINGER, HAWKINS, & KNOX in TN. visit my pages: http://tippytnn.topcities.com/moore508/moore.htm a cousin has had DNA done: STEVE MOORE: 25 marker. at family tree. links on my pages. researching O'MOORE-OMOORE-O'MOHR. 1 of these O'MOOREs may be our real last name.
