YOAKUM JACK BILLINGSLEY Jack Billingsley, age 77, of Tazewell, was born July 12, 1929 and passed away on October 3, 2006. Jack owned and operated Jack's Gulf Service Station of New Tazewell for 25 years. He was in the Army-Air Corps. He was saved while in the Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years: Imogene Treece Billingsley; parents: Andrew and Edna Billingsley; brothers: Sam Billingsley and Dick Large; sister: Collene Honas; son-in-law: Willard Price. He is survived by his daughter: Marsha Price; grandsons: Brian and wife Meredith Price and Brandon Price all of Tazewell; brother: Tom Large of Las Vegas, Nv; sister-in-law: Opal Cardwell Cline of Tazewell; brother-in-laws: Earl Treece of Murfreesboro and Andrew Honas of Monroe, Mi; and several nieces, nephews, and a host of many friends and relatives. Funeral services were Thursday, October 5 at 7 p.m. in the Claiborne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Short officiating. Music provided by Brenda Reed. Burial in the Fairview Cemetery. Cox was born on June 7, 1926 in Middlesboro, Ky and passed away at the age of 80 in his home in Tazewell. He was a loving son to Nathaniel Zan Cox and Stella Mae (Poore) Cox. His wife of 57 years has been waiting to be joined by him in heaven. He attended TNT Mountain Assembly Church of God, where he gave his life to the Lord. He proudly served his country for 2 years in WWII in the Navy's 43rd and 31st Seabees, and for the short time that he was in the Navy he received an E5 rank. Charles retired after 32 years from the General Motors Willow Run Plant in Ypsilanti, Mi. He was preceded in death by his wife: Delsie (Maiden) Cox; grandson: Jimmy Cox. He was a wonderful father to four children: Linda L. Newsome (Johnny) of Monroe, Mi, Larry Cox of Monroe, Mi, Claudia George of Monroe, Mi, Kathy Ritchie of Tazewell. Charles was a wonderful grandfather (Papaw) of 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He has two younger brothers: William (Bill) Cox of Deerfield, Mi and Junior Cox of Lenoir, Nc. He also has two younger sister: Betty Sneed of Deerfield, Mi and Trula Brown of Lenoir, Nc. Funeral services were Wednesday, October 4 at 6 p.m. in the Claiborne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Mayes and Paul Dean officiating. Music provided by Shelia Dailey and Allison Harrison. Family and friends gathered at Bacarella Funeral Home in Monroe, Mi on Saturday, October 7 at 11 a.m. for funeral services. Burial in the Roselawn Cemetery in LaSalle, Mi. Claiborne Funeral Home in charge. CAROLS FLOWERS Carols "T.J." Flowers, age 81, of New Tazewell, passed away Friday, October 7, 2006 at UT Medical Center. He was a member of Little Valley Baptist Church. Survivors include mother of his daughters: Joyce Ann Deno; daughters: Teresa Ann Angel and husband Tony of Rydal, Ga., Kathy Sue Flowers-Herre and husband Lenny of Ky.; grandchildren: Teddy Angel of Rydal, Ga. and Tracie Angel of Dalton, Ga.; eight great grandchildren; brothers: Sigal Flowers of New Tazewell; and several nieces and nephews. A Chapel Service was held Sunday, October 8 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Teddy Angel and Rev. Tony Angel officiating. Interment in the Bethleham Cemetery. Evergreen Funeral Home in charge. REV. JOHN EARL FORD SR. Rev. John Earl Ford Sr., age 82, passed away September 30, 2006 at UT Hospital after a long illness. He was a member of Neal's Chapel Church and a veteran of WWII. He retired from Claiborne County Hospital after 25 years of dedicated service. He was preceded in death by his wife: Gracie Ford; son: Charles Henry Ford; parents: James and Katie Ford; brothers: Kenneth and Ben Henry Ford; sisters: Minnie Robinson, Hazel Ann, Nona and Nina Ford and Josie Deadrick. He leaves to morn his passing, sons: John Earl Ford Jr. (Sona) of Knoxville, Kenneth (Janet) Ford of Grand Rapids, Mi, Ralph (Vanessa) Ford of Middlesboro, Ky; honorary sons: Ricky (Heather) Gregory of Middlesboro, Ky., Phillip (Matilda) Hatfield of Morristown; daughters: Minister Mary (Ronald) Davis, Elders Mildred (David) Williams, Rev. Virginia (Randall) Huguley, Barbara (Rev. Dexter) Jordan, Sharon (Rev. DUSTIN WADE KECK Dustin Wade Keck, age 20, was born April 9, 1986 and departed this life to be with Jesus Thursday, October 5, 2006 at UT Medical Center in Knoxville. He was saved at an early age and was a member of Clouds Memorial Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Rome and Hassie Evans. He leaves his memories to be cherished by his family and friends. She was a charter member of First Baptist Church of Harrogate, past worthy Matron of the Eastern Star and Mother Advisor of the Rainbow Girls. She was preceded in death by her husband: Edward Freeman Pharris. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Patterson Chumley. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Minerva Baker Wylie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Ralph, Roger, Park and Earl Wylie.
