He was a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church, Veteran of World War II, member of Board of Directors Claiborne County Farm Bureau. Preceded in death by: father & mother, Walter & Ella Greer Ford; son, Beverly Wayne Ford; brothers, Odell & Cecil Ford; sister, Dorothy Poore. He is survived by: wife of 60 years, Marie Earl Ford of New Tazewell, TN; sister & brother-in-law, Mary & Gillis Day of Tazewell, TN; nieces & nephews, Kenneth Winstead; Betty Jo Stone, the widow of Gary Joe Stone; Gwen Brooks, Henry Earl, Brilla Hansand, Cletis Earl, Wanda Smith, James Michael Earl, Marian McPhillips, Ben M. Earl, Linda Sharp, Mary Ellen McNew, Betty Ann Rucker, Dexter Day, Richard Ford, Clayton Poore, Jr., David Poore. The family will receive friends Monday July 10, 2006 from 7-9 pm at the Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell, TN. Funeral service will be Tuesday, 2:00 pm , July 11, 2006 in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, TN. Burial will be in the Shoemaker Cemetery. Rev. John Hatfield, Rev. Frank Short and Rev.
