I am looking for the father of Sam E. Owens born 1896 in Claiborne Co. and his brother Peter - birth date unknown. Their mother was Rebecca Abshire b. 1860 in Lee Co. VA. Same and Peter were illegitimate, however Rebecca did marry an Owens at some point. She died young - however I don't know the date. Her sister, Amanda Abshire-Fultz-Raney raised the boys in Claiborne Co. TN. I do know Sam Owens married a Maude Hurst. Thank you.
