    2. LYNCH, MR. CALEB POWERS - age 92, born April 24, 1914, a resident of the Claiborne County Nursing Home, passed away July 11, 2006. He was of the Methodist faith, lifetime resident of Claiborne County. He attended East Tennessee State University, taught school for 31 years in Claiborne & Hancock counties also taught adult education school at night for several years and he also spent 4 years in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by parents, Dr. George & Nancy (Pearson) Lynch, brother, Ted Lynch, sister, Margineal Lynch, nephew, Lowell Lynch. Survived by wife of 54 years, Geneva (Brooks) Lynch of Tazewell, TN; nephews, Roger Lynch & wife, Darlene of Maynardville; great nephews, James & Bill Lynch of Maynardville, Michael Lynch of Tazewell; special brother in law, Roy Brooks & wife, Evelyn of Tazewell; and a host of cousins & life long, friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6-9 p.m. July 12, 2006 in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in New Tazewell, TN. Funeral service will be Thursday 2 p.m. July 13 in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in New Tazewell. Burial in the Fairview Cemetery. Ministers: Rev. Leonard Brooks & Rev. John Hatfield, singer: Barbara Hatfield. Pallbearers: Carl Bolton, John Collingsworth, James Atkins, Billy Venable, Jim Dotson, H. Short, Dennis Estes, Don Davis.
