Ottie Buford Treece April 17, 1930-July 12, 2006 story updated July 13. 2006 11:11AM   Ottie Buford Treece, 76, of Monroe died at 12:07 p.m. Wednesday at TenderCare, where he had been since June. He had been in poor health since March, 2005. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from noon until services at 2 p.m. Friday at the Monroe location of Bennett Funeral Home. The Rev. Roy Southerland, pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Born April 17, 1930, in Claiborne County, Tenn., he was the son of Wiley and Nora Treece. He married Betty Turner Dec. 24, 1955, in Tazewell, Tenn. A truck driver, he retired from E&L Transport Co. in 1987. He was a member of Monroe Lodge 27, Free & Accepted Masons, and Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Speedwell, Tenn. He enjoyed fishing. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Dock (Cynthia) of Toledo and Randy (Tricia) of Monroe, and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Junior, Clifford (Tip), Herzal, Ray and an infant, and five sisters, Maggie Wright, Eva Jones, Ada Roulett, Julia Earl and Viola treece.
