From the Knoxville News Sentinel 6 Mar 2005 SHOFFNER,GRACIE JUNITA SHELBY - age 84 was born July 28, 1920 and passed away March 4, 2005 at the Claiborne County Nursing Home. She was saved at an early age and was a member of Highland Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; James & Luella Shelby; husband, John Shoffner; son Jackie Lee Shoffner; 2 grandchildren, Johnny & Kestle Mabe; 1 sister and 2 brothers. She is survived by her children: special daughter: Monia Shoffner of Tazewell, Tn, Ada & Lawrence Mabe Bonnie & Dewey Massengill all of Tazewell, Tn; sons & wives: Doyal & Jenetta Shoffner, Bill & GlenEtta Shoffner, Bob & Kay Shoffner of Sharp Chapel, Tn, Rev. Willlard & Sally Wilder of Bulls Gap, Tn; sister & husband: Frank & Anna Mae Davis of New Tazewell, Tn; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family received friends from 6 until 9 P.M. Saturday night at the Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell. Funeral service 2:00 P.M. Sunday in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the Shoffner Cemetery in Sharp Chapel. Ministers: Rev. Bob Keck, Rev. Willard Wilder and Rev. Jimmy Poore, Singer: Roy Hicks. Pallbearers: grandsons.
