Early in his life, Beverly was employed by Russell Brothers Farms. Later, he was employed by Oakwood Manufacturing. The son of the late Herman and Bessie Alston, he was preceded in death by two infant brothers: Euel and Steve; brother: H. L. Alston; and sister: Nannie Lou Gregory. Survivors include his daughters: Jill and husband Gary Tallman of Knoxville; and Cari and husband Robert Skinner of Paris, Tx; and their mother: Jane Alston Elkins of Knoxville.
