From the Knoxville News Sentinel 23 Mar 2005 MINTON, LOIS COSBY - age 81 of Tazewell, Tn was born February 23, 1924 and passed away March 21, 2005 at the home of her sister, Mildred Rowland. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She ran Minton's Superette for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Glenn E. Minton; parents, Barton & Ella Mae Cosby; brother, Eugene Cosby. She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law: Sue & Allen Lancaster of Atlanta, Ga., Faye & Bob Heydasch of Knoxville, Tn, Barbara & Tim Kinkead of Monticello, Ill; sons & daughters-in-law: James & Erica Minton of Tazewell, Tn, John & Kim Minton of Kingsport, Tn; sister & best friend: Mildred Rowland of Tazewell; 8 grandchildren: Brad, Jennifer & Mary, Jack, Emily & Andrew, Alex & Donovan; 2 great grandchildren: Christopher & Kayden; one expectant great grandson; sister-in-law: Ruby Hurst and husband Harvey, Jr. of Tazewell and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday March 24, 2005 at the Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell with funeral service to follow at 8:00 P.M. Thursday in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial at 11:00 A.M. Friday at the Woods-Cosby Cemetery. Minister: Rev. Roger Hansard.
