    2. From The Knoxville News Sentinel 30 Mar 2005 RAMSEY, MRS. EVELYN DALTON - of New Tazewell passed away on March 28, 2005 at the Claiborne County Hospital at the age of 79. She was a member of the New Tazewell First Baptist Church for over 50 years. She worked in the cafeteria at Soldiers Memorial Middle School in the 1960's - 1970's. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family. She was preceded in death by her parents: Mayo and Willie Dalton, her sister, Betty Burgess and brother, Duane Dalton. She is survived by: husband: James Ramsey of 59 years of New Tazewell, TN; children: Sandra and husband Noel Forsythe of Auburn, Al, Larry and wife Sharon Ramsey of Chattanooga, TN, Jackie and husband Johnny Payne of New Tazewell, TN, Allen and wife Milinda Ramsey of Sevierville, TN, Freddy and wife Peggy Ramsey of New Tazewell, TN, Freda and husband Lee Brame of New Tazewell, TN, Evelyn and husband Carl Alan Moore of New Tazewell, TN; brother: Ralph and wife Elenor Dalton of Roanoke,VA; sister: Sylvia Albert of Fayetteville, N.C; sisters in law: Eula Ramsey of New Tazewell, TN, Bonnie Baltrip of Tazewell, TN, Opal Melfe of Port Washington, NY. She was grandmother to 20 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday March 30, 2005 at the Claiborne Funeral Home from 5-8 P.M. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday March 31, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Tazewell First Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Pressnell officiating. Music will be provided by Pat Tarter, Dottie Crutchfield and Brenda Bolden. Pallbearers: grandsons. Burial will be at the Burch Cemetery.
