Poore Published 01/22/2005 Jan. 20, 1918-Jan. 21, 2005 RUTLEDGE, Tenn. - Audie Lafayette Poore, 87, of Rutledge, who formerly worked at Consolidated Packaging Corp. in Monroe for 40 years, died Friday morning after a brief illness. Friends may call at noon Monday until services at 1 p.m. in the chapel at the Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City, Tenn. Father Dan Whitman will officiate. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Frank (Terrie) of Michigan; two daughters, Jerrie (John) McLaughlin of California and Donna (John) Griffiths of Hawkins County, Tenn.; one brother, Isaac A. (Dorene) of Morristown, Tenn.; one sister, Ina (Carson) Baldwin of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; two sisters-in-law, Laura Poore and Shirley Poore; nine grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers: Ben, George, Fred, Haskell and Denver, and one sister, Lorene. Born Jan. 20, 1918, in New Tazewell, Tenn., he was the son of Frank and Virginia (Lynch) Poore. He married Teaves (Tommie) Newsom in 1938.
