From the Knoxville News sentinel 8 Feb 2005 RAMSEY, MRS. BILLIE JEAN (WELCH) - age 67, of New Tazewell, was born December 1, 1937 and went to her heavenly home Sunday, February 6, 2005. She was a member of First Baptist Church of New Tazewell. Preceded in death by husband, Johnny W. Ramsey; son, Edward Curtis Ramsey; parents, Curtis and Delta Welch; parents-in-law, Lloyd and Ada Ramsey. Survivors include: children, Johnny H. and wife, Terry Ramsey of Tazewell, TN, Vicky Anders of Knoxville, TN, Rebecca Golden and husband, Ronnie, of Knoxville, TN, Joseph and wife, Melissa Ramsey, of Knoxville, TN, Franklin Ramsey of Seymour, TN; grandchildren, Michelle, Josh, David, Kari, Beth, Lesley, Krissi, Jamie, Emily, Eli, Abigail, and Caroline; great-grandchildren, Nolan Ramsey Pratt, Jaden Ramsey & Jace Burgner; brother, Kenneth Welch of Tazewell, TN; great aunt, Lou King Ellison and husband, Ray; special friends, Mertie and Carson Janeway, Lana Daniels, Chuck Lynch, Laura Catalano, Jean Steadman, Wanda Steadman, Lou Butler, Jim Monroe, Gary Anders, Jerry Ball, Kim Welch, Karen Ramsey Estes, Kimberly Ramsey, Margaret Brogan; nieces, nephews, numerous friends and relatives. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Claiborne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ronnie Pressnell and Rev. Kenny Trent officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in the Irish Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Michael Cosby, Dustin Sands, Chris England, David Ramsey, B.J. Williams, Joshua Ramsey and Eli Ramsey.
