From the Knoxville News sentinel 15 Feb 2005 BRADEN, MRS. BETTY JO (BEAN) - age 74 of Powell (formerly of Speedwell) - went to be with the Lord Monday, February 14, 2005, at Baptist West Hospital in Knoxville. She was born August 1, 1930. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Braden Chapel Baptist Church. Mrs. Braden was a retired school teacher of 22 years and was loved by her students. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Roy David (Pete) Braden; and parents, Ike and Maude (Clawson) Bean. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Ben David and Betty Gail (Russell) Braden of Powell; granddaughter, Elizabeth Nicole Braden; and sister, Patsy Ellison; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Funeral services Wednesday 2 p.m. at Braden Chapel Baptist Church with Elder J. C. Monday and Rev. Jack Anderson officiating. Interment to follow at Braden Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Walters Funeral Home.
