From the LaFollette Press 24 Feb 2005 Edna Faye Miracle Burchfield, age 54 of Speedwell Lula Rogers, age 89 of Roses Creek, Clairfield, Walter Weaver, age 76 of Speedwell Edna Faye Miracle Burchfield, age 54 of Speedwell was born Nov. 6, 1950 and passed away Feb. 13. She was preceded in death by her parents, General and Vertie Moyers Miracle; brother, Bill Miracle; sisters, Geneva Brooks and Bessie Rains. She is survived by her son, Sam Burchfield (Ashley Dummett); daughter, Becky Burchfield (Shawn Hall); grandchildren, Courtney Hall, Dylan Hall and Kyle Burchfield, all of Speedwell; sisters, Clearcie (Harold) Patterson of Speedwell, Polly Evans of Speedwell, Dolly Shiflet of Speedwell, Dora McCartt of Winder, GA; very special nephew, Mike Miracle. Funeral services were Feb. 15 at Reece Valley Chapel with the Rev. Tim Cosby officiating. Music by the Friendship Singers. Interment was in the Green Loy Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mike Miracle, Larry Fortner, Dustin Miracle, Rusty Loza, Doug Mayes, Junior McCartt and Travis McCartt. Reece Funeral Home and Valley Chapel was in charge of the arrangements. Lula Rogers, age 89 of Roses Creek, Clairfield, passed away Feb. 14 at the Lake City Health Care Center. She was born July 11, 1914 at Roses Creek the daughter of the late Gilbert and Ann Gibson Terry. She was a member of Roses Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Clyde Rogers of Roses Creek; daughter, Linda Gail Strong of Oliver Springs; sons, Gary Rogers of Lake City, Jerry Rogers of Clinton, Harry Rogers of Roses Creek; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services were Feb. 18 in the Cox and Son Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Pittman officiating. Interment was in the Casey Cemetery. Cox and Son Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Walter Weaver, age 76 of Speedwell passed away Feb. 14 at his home. He was born June 19, 1928 in Goin, TN to the late Sillis and Gladys Bearden Weaver. He accepted Christ as his Savior in 1945 and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; four sisters. He is survived by his wife of nearly 54 years, Ramona Pearman Weaver; daughter, Ann (Danny) Longworth of Harrogate; sons, Robert (Linda) Weaver of Harrogate, James (Sandra) Weaver, Johnny (Madeline) Weaver of Speedwell; brother, Calvin B. Weaver of Speedwell; sisters, Katherine Manis of Middlesboro, KY, Wretha Wright of Arthur; granddaughters, Shannon, Caroline, Beth, Tracy, Ahsley, Ciara and Jessica; five great grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were Feb. 16 at the Reece Valley Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Warf and Rev. Hermas Grubbs officiating. Music by the Journey Makers. Interment was in the Kilbert Cemetery. Pallbearers were Randal Wilson, Eugene Franks, Mike Hatfield, James Partin, Jason Brown and Eddie Chumley.
