Hi Debra and all, I would certainly like to know the surname of Absalom's wife Elizabeth and to have another set of 4th great grandparents. A couple of years ago someone referred me to a McNew family book for the proof. I found the book, in the Roanoke Library I think; but I don't think Absalom was even mentioned. Gwen Hurst once told me that the McNew name was not likely for Elizabeth. I open-minded about this, but I'm not ready to add the name without some evidence.
