Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, at Powell Valley Church of God with Rev. Billy Paul officiating. Music will be by the church choir. Born Aug. 3, 1939, he was the son of the late Curtis and Addie Lee (Williams) Massengill. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Lincoln, Hobart, Robert, Homer, and James; and sister, Ruby Lambert. Survivors include his brother-in-law, Evan Lambert, Harrogate; sister-in-law, Goldie Massengill, Harrogate; nieces, Bonnie Vail, Williamport, Ind., Betty Kerns, Kansas; nephews, Eddie Massengill and Danny Massengill of Harrogate, Johnny Massengill, Bean Station, Tenn., Kenny Lambert, Pineville, and Bobby Lambert, Louisville, Ky.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday at Coffey Funeral Home, Harrogate Chapel, with the Rev. Ray Gulley and the Rev. Casey Hampton presiding. Music will be by the Hensley's Chapel choir. Burial will be in Ellison Cemetery at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Henry Massengill, Mike Massengill, Greg Valdenar, Porter Massengill, Dale Massengill, and Terry Massengill. Honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Massengill and Delbert Pendleton. Lola Seabolt, 78 Harrogate, Tenn. - Lola Seabolt, 78, passed away Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006, in Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital. Born Oct. 20, 1928, in Claiborne County, Tenn., a daughter of the late Campbell and Sarah Daniels Young. She was a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parengs, she was preceded in death by husband, Bill Seabolt; sons, Larry James Seabolt and Gary Young.; Survivors include her daughter, Cathy (Fred) Pauley, Harrogate, Tenn.; son, Roger (Lois) Young, Rose Hill, Va.; daughter-in-law, Mae Young Tolliver, Harrogate, Tenn.; grandsons, Joe Young, Jason Young, John Young; granddaughter, Meghan Young; great-granddaughters, Erin Taylor Daniels Young and Elizabeth Kaye Young; sisters, Opal Sutton, Glady Young, Oma Young, all of Ewing, Va. James Ralph Billingsley, 68 Harrogate, Tenn. - James Ralph Billingsley, 68, passed away Wednesday Nov. 15, 2006, at East Tennessee Baptist Hospital. He was born Oct. 17, 1938, at Fonde, the son of the late John Billingsley Jr., and Mabel Ridings Billingsley who survives. He professed his faith in Christ at the Pump Springs Baptist Church in July 1973. He was a member of the Greers Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He was retired from the Mountain Drive Coal Company. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son; Tommy Billingsley; and one brother; Ronnie Billingsley. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Laura “Lurlean” Billingsley, Harrogate; mother, Mabel Billingsley, Harrogate; sisters, Dixie Billingsley and Gloria Taylor, Harrogate; sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Diana Billingsley, Harrogate, Harrogate, David and Teresa Billingsley, Harrogate, and Micheal and Amy Billingsley, Tazewell, Tenn.; grandchildren, Christopher and Sherry Billingsley Tazewell, Tenn., Kevin Billingsley, Jerrica Billingsley, Jordan Billingsley, Morgan Billingsley, and James Billingsley, all of Harrogate, Tenn., Mikey Billingsley and Marissa Billingsley, both of Tazewell, Tenn.; great-grandson, Jacob Billingsley, Tazewell, Tenn.; and a host of other relatives, friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday at Creech Funeral Home with the Rev. Wendell Daniels and the Rev. Casper “Tip” Moore presiding. Music will be provided by his grandchildren and the Greers Chapel Church Singers. Burial will follow in the Billingsley Farm Cemetery on Greers Chapel Road.
