COSBY, HELEN - age 89 of Tazewell, Tn left this life to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 26, 2006. Helen passed away peacefully at Blount Memorial Hospital, Maryville, Tennessee. She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee December 7, 1916. Helen was a charter member and the oldest living member of Fairview Baptist Church, Tazewell, TN. She was a member of the Eastern Star for over 49 years and the oldest member of Dogwood Home Demonstration Club. Her husband of 65 years, Benton Cosby; her daughter Patricia Susong; her son Ronald Cosby; her mother and father, Lucy and Glen Farmer; and her brother Quentin Farmer preceded Helen in death. Helen is survived by her son, Jim Cosby and wife, Robyn of Franklin, TN; daughter, Carole Carter of Maryville, Tn; daughter, Gail Brown and husband, Gary of Maryville, TN; daughter-in-law Mary Cosby of Kingsport, TN; son-in-law Don Susong of Kokomo, Indiana; granddaughters Melissa Keasler of Maryville, TN, Shanna Lingerfelt, Louisville, TN, Lauren and Ciara Cosby of Franklin, TN; grandsons, Michael Susong of Kokomo, Indiana, Paul, Chad and Jeff Cosby of Kingsport, TN; five great grandchildren, Jessica, Jordan, Taylor, Chesney, and Caden; nephew and grand nephew Jerry and Mark Mullins of Knoxville, TN; nephew, Wayne Lambert of Morristown, TN; a special aunt, Selda Hayes of Maryville, TN; a special friend, Sherry Wilson of Tazewell, TN; and a host of family and friends. The family will receive friends at Coffey Mortuary, Tazewell, TN from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm Monday, August 28 with funeral following immediately at 7:00 pm. Burial will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at 1:00 pm. at Irish Memorial Gardens, Tazewell, TN. Rev. Mike Humfleet officiating.
