Lola Martin, 80 NEW TAZEWELL, Tenn. - Lola Martin, 80, passed away Friday, Aug. 11, 2006, at Harrogate, Tenn. She was born Jan. 27, 1926, and was the daughter of the late James and Pearl Sandifer Dixon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughters, Mary Martin and Wanda Joe Dixon; two brothers, Clyde and Paul Dixon. Survivors include her daughter, Brenda (David) Laws, New Tazewell; sons, Larry Martin, New Tazewell, Charles (Gayle) Martin, Middlesboro, Jimmy Martin, Middlesboro; sister, Betty (Phil) Barton, Harrogate; brothers, Otis Dixon, Deluth, Minn., and Jim Dixon, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday at Creech Funeral Home with the Rev. Phil Barton presiding. Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Sharpe Cemetery, Middlesboro. Pallbearers will be David, Chris, Jeff Martin, Kevin Fultz, Richard Neely, and Jerry Seals. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Creech Funeral Home, Middlesboro, which is in charge of arrangements.
