    2. WILLIAM A. BOLDEN VIRLIE MAE BREWER DON BUNCH DARRELL SHELBY LOIS JEAN SMITH WILLIAM A. BOLDEN (Picture on website) William "Bill" A. Bolden, age 73, of Lafayette, In, was born in Sneedville on October 15, 1932 and passed away July 27, 2006 at Home Hospital. He was the son of the late Herman and Leaddie Bell Bolden. He had resided in Lafayette since 1951. He married Patricia R. Morrison in Lafayette on December 17, 1952 and she passed away April 10, 1993. Survivors include two daughters: Sharon Reifel of Otterbein In, Carol Faurote (husband James) of Lafayette, In; sister: Cleta Brooks of New Tazewell; three brothers: Ralph Bolden (wife Virginia), Jimmy Bolden (wife Lois) and Lawrence Bolden (wife Loretta) all of Lafayette, In.; five grandchildren: Cody (fianc/ Kristy Anderson), Travis Demarais, Nikki Campbell, Eric (Fianc/ Nina Coors) and Zachery Reifel; three great grandchildren: Haley and Emily Demarais, and Shawn Estes. Funeral services were Wednesday, August 2 at Claiborne Funeral Home. Burial in Shoemaker Cemetery. Donations were to be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice. Hippensteel Funeral Home in charge. VIRLIE MAE BREWER Virlie Mae (Ginger) Brewer, age 66, of Tazewell, was born April 11, 1940 and passed away August 8, 2006 at the Claiborne Hospital. Ginger professed faith in Christ at an early age in life. She formerly operated Gingers Kountry Kitchen in New Tazewell and Brewer's (TJ's) Market in Sharps Chapel. She was preceded in death by her husband: Willis (TJ) Brewer; daughter: Pamela Walters; parents: Ernest and Lettie LaRue; brother: Claude La Rue; sister: Revie Conners. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws: Darwin Walters of Tazewell, Rusty and Brenda Walters of Florida, Dwayne and Sandie Walters of New Tazewell, Dale and Tammy Walters of Tazewell; daughters: Marisa Mason of Tazewell and Gayle Walters of New Tazewell; 15 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Claiborne Funeral home in charge. DON BUNCH Don Bunch, of Tazewell, was born January 22, 1924 and passed away August 7, 2006 at his home. Don was born in the Days Siding Community and was a resident of Claiborne County for nearly 60 years. He was well known as the owner of Bunch Auto Parts, which he ran until his retirement in 1987. Following his retirement he enjoyed life as an active member of Woodlake Golf Course, where he played almost every day, regardless of season or weather. He served honorably in World War II in Patton's Third Army and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge in Tazewell. He played baseball in the minor leagues for several years in Middlesboro, Ky and was an avid baseball fan his entire life and a devoted supporter of the Atlanta Braves. He was preceded in death by parents: Ollie (Baltrip) and William McKinley Bunch; brother: Russell Bunch; sister: Billie Jean Farmer. He is survived by wife of 59 years: Mary Daniels Bunch of Tazewell; daughters: Carolyn Martin (Jimmie) of Lynchburg, Va, Sheilagh Barclay (Tom) of Atlanta, Ga, Dona McConnell (Dan) of Tazewell, Betsy Maples (Mike) of New Tazewell; sons: Bruce Bunch of Tazewell, Christopher Bunch of St. Louis, Mo; four grandchildren: Paul Martin (Susan), Jim Martin, Ben (Darlene) Martin all of Lynchburg, Va; Zachary Maples of New Tazewell; step-grandchildren: Emily and Richard Crespin, Julie and Scott Wathan of Washington D.C., Kristen and Reid Smith-Vanez of Atlanta, Ga; great grandchildren: Madison and Mya Martin of Lynchburg, Va, Rex Crespin of Washington D.C.; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and golfing partners. A memorial service was held. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Springdale Volunteer Fire Department, 1881 Hwy. 25E South, Tazewell, Tn, 37879 or the American Cancer Society. Claiborne Funeral Home in charge. DARRELL SHELBY Darrell Shelby, age 45, of New Tazewell, was born April 22, 1961 and passed away August 8, 2006. He was a member and deacon of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his wife: Traci Shelby; children: Kayla and Roger Shelby; parents: Ruble and Hazel Shelby all of New Tazewell; sisters: Carol Fannon of Tazewell, Jean and Rick Conner of Knoxville; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Roger and Charlotte Carroll; sisters-in-law: Tina Farmer and Teresa Carroll; special friends: Clyde and Elizabeth Robertson all of New Tazewell; a host nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were Friday, August 11 at 10 a.m. in the Claiborne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Reggie Large officiating. Music by the Cosby Family. Burial in the Stiner Cemetery. Pallbearers: Terry Carroll, Tony Carroll, Todd Carroll, Robert Smith, Dale Collinsworth, Buford Collins. Honorary pallbearers: Deacons of New Hope Baptist Church. Claiborne Funeral Home in charge. LOIS JEAN SMITH Lois Jean (Shipley) Smith, age 74, of Speedwell, passed away August 13, 2006 at St. Mary's Health and Rehab Center of Lafollette. She was a member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in Cumberland Gap and Powell Valley Eastern Star #484 for several years. She was the daughter of the late Shelby and Pearly (Haynes) Shipley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Betty Joan (Smith) Robertson; brothers: Carl and William Shipley. Survivors include her husband of 59 years: Johnie Smith; son: Kennith G. Smith and wife, Treacy G.; grandson: Steve C. Smith and wife, Angela D.; two great grandsons: Wyatt and Carson Smith; special niece: Linda J. Russell; sister-in-law: Lettie M. Russell. Funeral services were Tuesday, August 15 at 8 p.m. in the Reece Valley Chapel with President Russell Figuira, Elder Nathan Hickley and Elder Roger Smith officiating. Burial will be Wednesday, August 16 at 11 a.m. in the Yoakum Cemetery. Pallbearers: David Mundy, Fred Robertson, Alva Monday, Scott Johnson, Carl "Bud" Ellison, David Smith and Carl Claiborne. Honorary pallbearers: Travis Mundy, Thad Ellison, Steve Green, Tommy Ellison, Tony Ellison, Todd Ellison and Daryl Ellison.
