Janice Aldridge July 7, 2006 Janice Aldridge, 67, of Monroe, died, at 7:50 PM, Friday, July 7, 2006 in the Mercy Memorial Hospital. She had been in poor health for a year and seriously ill since entering the hospital 2 weeks ago. She was born April 22, 1939 in Goin, TN to Weir E. and Josie Lee (Henry) O'Dell. She came to Monroe with her family in 1942 from Bay City, MI. On September 1, 1962 she married Billy M. Aldridge in Monroe. Sadly, he preceded her in death August 3, 2004. A homemaker, at one time she worked at Jefferson High School as a cook, and cleaned homes in Monroe. She was member of Monroe Full Gospel Church, and enjoyed gardening, crafts, ceramics, baking, and sewing. She leaves to mourn 4 sons, Michael Wayne Aldridge of Glennie, MI, Billy Maxwell (Linda) Aldridge of Gibralter, Lonny Edmond Aldridge and Ricky Allen Aldridge both of Monroe, 3 brothers, Edmund (Lydia) O'Dell of the Upper Peninsula, Bob (Kay) O'Dell of Monroe, and Larry O'Dell of Bedford, MI, a sister, Judy (Larry) Shinevarre of Monroe, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Her parents also preceded her in death. Friends may call1-8 PM Monday at the Bacarella Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday. The Revs. Gary Pickrell and Harold Raines of Monroe Full Gospel will officiate and burial will take place next to her husband at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Memorial gifts in her name may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
