Leona Lynch Sept. 28, 1911-Sept. 7, 2006 story updated September 08. 2006 11:13AM NEW TAZEWELL, Tenn. - Leona Lynch, 94, of New Tazewell, formerly of Monroe, died Thursday in her home. Services will be at 7 p.m. today at Claiborne Funeral Home of New Tazewell. The Revs. Ronnie Pressnell and Kenny Trent will officiate. Graveside services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lilly Grove Cemetery of New Tazewell. Born Sept. 28, 1911, she was the daughter of John and Minnie Lynch. She was a 42-year member of Midway Baptist Church of New Tazewell. Surviving are nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Rose, Thea and Tivis, and three sisters, Roxie Drummonds, Martha Neely and Mae England. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Midway Baptist Church's building fund.
