>From the Knoxville News Sentinel 17 Sep 2006 BROWN, MRS. MARJORIE SIMMONS - age 77 of New Tazewell, was born July 26, 1929 and passed away September 15, 2006 at her home. She was a member of Head of Barren Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by; husband: James Edd Brown, parents: Rev. Callie Virgil and Geneva (Duncan) Simmons, brother: Rev. William Edward Simmons, sister: Maurine Keck. She is survived by; sisters: Alma Harmon, Virginia Wyatt, Alice Johnson, and Dolores Swiney; brothers: Carl Lennis Simmons, C. V. Simmons Jr., Rev. Robert E. Simmons, and David Simmons; sister-in-law: Linda Heaton and husband James; special niece: Lisa Leonard; special nephews: Eric Jason Swiney, Robert Callie Simmons, Mark Evan Leonard; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Sunday, September 17th at Claiborne Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 P.M. in the Claiborne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Day and Rev. Robert Simmons officiating. Music will be provided by David Painter. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, September 18th at Irish Memorial Gardens at 10 A.M.
