    2. PATSY BOLTON Patsy Bolton, age 68, was born September 13, 1936 in Bell County, Ky and left for Glory on Saturday, April 2, at Claiborne County Hospital. She was a life-long resident of Claiborne County. Her faith was in her lord and savior Jesus Christ. She was a member of Greer's Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father and mother: Sonville and Mary Davis Redmond and infant brother: Doyle Redmond. She is survived by her husband of 52 years: Jimmie Bolton; sons: David (Brenda) Bolton, and Jack Bolton; grandchildren: Kevin (Amanda), Crystal, Kellie and Loren; brothers: Wendel (Shirley) Redmond, Mickey Redmond; sisters: Maxine West and Connie Brooks; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. SHIRLEY BRASFIELD Shirley Brasfield, age 63, of Tazewell was born in Lee County, Va. on October 10, 1941 and passed away Sunday, March 27 at Claiborne County Hospital. She was formerly a resident of Stickleyville, Va. Shirley was a homemaker and a member of the Livingston Chapel Church in Stickleyville, Va. She was preceded in death by her father: Nelson Jones. DELPHIA JEAN JOHNSON Delphia Jean Johnson, age 64, of Tazewell was born June 12, 1940 and passed away April 1 at the Claiborne County Nursing Home. She was a retired schoolteacher from the Jefferson School District in Monroe, Mi after 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents: Crayton and Hassie Hurst Johnson. Payne, age 75, of Lafayette, In, was born in Tazewell, on August 22, 1929 and passed away at Home Hospital on Sunday, March 27. Mr. Payne had been a resident of Lafayette for 50 years, having also resided in Monroe, Mi and Tn. He married Lillian J. Wylie on December 3, 1949 in Middlesboro, Ky and she survives. Mr. Payne was a Journeyman Millwright for TRW for 27 years before retiring in 1982. He attended Southern Baptist Church. Hobbies included spending time with his family, woodworking, gardening, and reading. EVELYN DALTON RAMSEY Mrs. Evelyn Dalton Ramsey of New Tazewell passed away on March 28, 2005 after a rich, full life of seventy-nine years. Evelyn Ramsey came to New Tazewell after the end of World War II as the beloved bride of James Ramsey. Evelyn and her husband were members of the First Baptist Church for over fifty years, and together, they raised seven Christian children in the community. She was a wonderful, caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family. During the sixties and early seventies, she worked in the cafeteria at Soldiers Memorial Middle School. Prior to her death, a former student who remembered her time in the cafeteria recalled that Mrs. Ramsey always seemed to have an eye out for students who looked sad or distressed. He remembered that she always had a cheerful word, and an extra large helping for those who seemed to need it most. What a wonderful testimony for a woman who seemed to have so little, materially, to give, and who gave so richly, and so much from her heart. Evelyn Dalton Ramsey was preceded in death by her parents, Mayo and Willie Dalton; her sister, Betty Burgess; and her brother, Duane Dalton. She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-nine years, James Ramsey of New Tazewell. Her children include: Sandra and husband Noel Forsythe of Auburn AL; Larry and wife Sharon Ramsey of Chattanooga; Jackie and husband Johnny Payne of New Tazewell; Allen and wife Melinda Ramsey of Sevierville; Freddy and wif e Peggy Ramsey of New Tazewell; Freda and husband Lee Brame of New Tazewell; and Evelyn and husband Carl Alan Moore of New Tazewell. Other survivors include her brother, Ralph and wife, Elenor Dalton of Roanoke, VA, and her sister, Sylvia Albert of Fayetteville, NC. Sister-in-laws include Eula Ramsey of New Tazewell, Bonnie Baltrip of Tazewell, and Opal Melfe of Port Washinton, NY. Evelyn was the grandmother of twenty grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
