WILLIAMS, WEAVER ******************************************************************** Monday April 7th 1845 On this day the petition of Silas Williams was presented to this Court, asking that certain slaves of said Williams namely Malinda, Sarah Diadamid, and Lucinda, and the Chairman having examined said petition and reported in favour of the application, and the Court being satisfied that the prayer of said petition ought to be granted, it is therefore ordered by the Court that the said slaves be emancipated and set free and have and enjoy all the rights privileges and immunities of free persons of color within the State of Tennessee where their giving the security required by law And upon the applications of said free persons of color and it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that it will not be any injury to the public for the said persons above emancipated to remain in the State and County, and that they were born and raised in this County, it is therefore ordered by the Court that they and each of them _?_ permitted to remain in this State and County upon their giving bond and security as the law requires. And that they take the name of Weaver.
