Lettie Bussell 04/13/2005 May 6, 1921-April 10, 2005 FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Services have been set for Lettie Bussell, 83, of Fort Lauderdale, formerly of Rockwood (MI), who died at 3:15 p.m. Sunday in Fort Lauderdale. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Ford Chapel of Allore-Martenson Funeral Home, Rockwood, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Tony Massengill, pastor of Rockwood Missionary Baptist Church, Rockwood, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, South Rockwood. Born May 6, 1921, in Tazewell, Tenn., she was the daughter of Timothy and Elizabeth (Lambert) Ellison. She married Joe Monroe Bussell April 4, 1935, in Tennessee. He died July 13, 1993. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking. She was a member of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are five sons, Kenneth (Vanda) of New Boston, Curtis (Charlene) of Wyandotte, Carson (Patricia) of Woodhaven, Joe Edward (Ola) of Atlanta, Ga., and Carl of Rochester Hills; a daughter, Catherine Bussell of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a sister, Wattie Cosby of Monroe; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. In addition to heer husband, she was preceded in death by 20 siblings and a grandson, Bill Bussell, in December, 2002.
