From The LaFollette Press 31 Mar 2005 Mildred L. Lay, age 81 of Clairfield Hobart Arrie Moore age 53 of Speedwell Mildred L. Lay, age 81 of Clairfield passed away March 22 at the Jellico Community Hospital. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Taylor; mother, Clara Randolph Taylor; brother, Donald Taylor; daughter, Caroline Lay.She is surivived by her daughter, Jessie Morris and husband, Eardis of Clairfield, Lola England and husband, Brian of Glascow, KY, Helen Patterson and husband, Jeff of Greensburg, KY; sons, Jay Lay and wife, Edna of Jellico, David Lay and wife, Hester of White Oak, Carl Lay of Jellico; grandchildren, Fletcher, Grant, Brian, J.J., Jessica, Amy, Angela, Tiffany, Beronica, Chasity, C.J., Derek, Marsha, Jackie, Carl, Jason and Brian; great grandchildren, Thomas, Holly, Lucas, Shay, Josh, Megan, Jenifer, Othella, John, McKenzie, Elizabeth, Jacob, James, Hailey, Skyler, Chris, RayRay, John, Sara, Braxton, Aron, Bryson, Megan, Jaylen, Hannah and Breven; sister, Mary Hankins of Claxton; brother, Ray M. Taylor of Claxton; a host of other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were March 24 at the Harp Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Earl Powers and Rev. Estes Powers officiating. Interment was in the Baird Cemetery. Harp Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Hobart Arrie Moore age 53 of Speedwell passed away March 26 at his home in Claiborne County. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a loving father, son, grandfather, brother and uncle who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He always had a good story to tell. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie McBee Moore. He is survived by his son, Matthew Moore and friend, Mary Cureton of Corbin, KY; daughter, Jeannie Ann Moore of LaFollette; mother of his children, Jean Moore of LaFollette; granddaughter, River Jordan Moore of Corbin, KY; father and stepmother, Henry Moore Jr. and Samatha Moore; sisters, Frances Ogg of Jacksboro, Mandy Dover and husband Matthew of Corryton; special nieces, Sharon and K. C. Evans of Jacksboro and Brandi Henegar of Corryton; special nephew Jody Henegar and best friend, Rick Henegar of LaFollette; great niece, Jordan Evans; great nephew, Benji Henegar both of Jacksboro; a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services were March 29 at the Speedwell Academy Baptist Church with Elder J. C. Monday officiating. Interment was in the Academy Cemetery.
