KAY - age 55, of Greeneville, formerly of Tazewell, Tennessee, LEACH, HORACE - age 72 of Speedwell, TAPP, ROY HALL - age 74, EVANS, MRS. KAY - age 55, of Greeneville, formerly of Tazewell, Tennessee, passed away on February 19, 2007 at her home. She was a 1970 graduate of Claiborne County High School and a member of Greeneville Moose Lodge and a pending member of Lone Mountain Baptist Church in Tazewell. She worked at Summer Street Pawn Shop in Greeneville for over a decade. She had also worked at England's in Tazewell for a period of time. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Evans; parents, Jim "Bus" Hurst and Ruby Jordan Hurst and a brother, Buddy James Hurst. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Scotty and Christie Evans; longtime companion and best friend, Russell Pearson; special sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Mike Hatfield; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby Jack and Donna Hurst, Bill and Mary Rose Hurst, Sonny and Sandy Hurst, David and Wilma Hurst; brothers, Ben, Rick, Jerry and Johnny Hurst; special aunt, Mary Beth Sherlin; special nephews, Mike and Crystal Hatfield and Kevin Hatfield; special nieces, Chloe Grace and Macy Hatfield; very special friend, Nell Bull and a host of other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at Rose Hill Funeral Home in Greeneville, TN and 5-9 p.m. Wed., February 21, 2007 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 22, 2007 at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Fultz officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael, Kevin and Mike Hatfield, Danny Hurst, Gary Sherlin and Andy Parker. Coffey Funeral Home in charge. LEACH, HORACE - age 72 of Speedwell, passed away Sunday February 18, 2007 at the Fort Sanders Regional Center. Funeral service will be 8 pm Wednesday, February 21 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Pastor Don Allen and Pastor Roger Leach officiating. Internet will be 1 pm Thursday in Leach Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday night before funeral service. Martin Wilson Funeral Home of LaFollette is in charge of arrangements. TAPP, ROY HALL - age 74, went to his Heavenly home Saturday, February 17, 2007 at the home of his loving and devoted sister Edna West, to join his parents, Lewis and Zelphia Tapp. Member of Atkins Baptist Church. Retired from Vulcan Materials Co. and Hallsdale Powell Utility. Board member of Sharps Chapel Volunteer Fire Dept. Preceded in death by: sisters, Hazel, Hallie, Liddie, Tilda, Marie and Elsie; brother, Bill; father-in-law, Willie McMillan; God Parents, Jim and Zollie Kidwell. Survivors: loving wife of 38 Years, Karen; daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and Doug Capps; son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Alicia Tapp; grandchildren, Brittany, Kaila and Hunter; sister and brother-in-law, Edna and Bennie West; brother and sister-in- law, Harley and Lillian Tapp; special mother-in-law, Stella McMillan; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jeanette and Wayne Raby, Kathy and Curtis Shoemaker, Bill, Jerry, Jack, Gene and Tim McMillan, Vaughn Carpenter, Asie Rogers and Johnny Reddy; God sisters, Geraldine, Christine, Charlene, Judy, Betty Sue, Maude, Vandy, Susan and Marlene; God brother, Buddy; a host of family and friends whom he dearly loved.
