I'm hoping someone might have access to a source for a record of a marriage which would have occurred by 1790 between a David Shults, Sr. (b.ca1764, NC, aka Shoults, Shultz, etc.) to a Nancy, whose last name is unknown and which I'm rather desperately hoping to find out. It is almost a certainty that they were married somewhere in what is present day northeastern Tennessee. The most likely counties in which the marriage might have occurred would have been Sullivan Co. or possibly Hawkins Co. (both North Carolina at the time, of course), but I've had no luck searching in those counties and so am expanding to neighboring counties. (A brother of David's, a Jacob Shults, Sr. who married an Anna Marie "Mary" Gross, apparently lived and died in Claiborne Co., TN in 1834.) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Food fight? Enjoy some healthy debate in the Yahoo!
