Rachel F. (Fon) Butler March 17, 1929-Jan. 29, 2007 story updated January 30. 2007 11:07AM Rachel F. (Fon) Butler, 77, of Monroe died at 7:57 a.m. Monday at Mercy Memorial Hospital's emergency room. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bacarella Funeral Home, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday. The Revs. Gary Pickrell and Harold Raines, co-pastors of Monroe Full Gospel Church, and the Rev. Rick Massingill, pastor of Church of God Mountain Assembly, will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Born March 17, 1929, in Tazewell, Tenn., she was the daughter of Virgil and Mayme (O'Dell) Heath. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Butler was a member of Church of God Mountain Assembly and enjoyed reading the Bible and collecting angels and birds. She came to Monroe in 1944 from Tazewell. Surviving are a daughter, Trena K. (Beason) Miller of Monroe; a son-in-law, Leslie "Butch" Knight of Monroe; two brothers, J.C. Williams and Condy Williams Jr., both of Tazewell; a sister, Ann (Raymond) Collins of Tazewell; six grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy L.
