    2. RUTH ALLENE BAILEY ROY S. CONNER HAZEL LEE EPPERSON CALE FARRIS RUTH ALLENE BAILEY Ruth Allene Bailey, age 85, of New Tazewell, was born September 7, 1921 and passed away December 25, 2006. She retired from First Century Bank after many years of service. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents: James A. and Etta (Campbell) Bailey; brothers: Howard Bailey and Dan Bailey. Survivors include her niece: Janet and husband Lynn Barnard, with whom she made her home; great niece: Danielle Barnard all of New Tazewell; caregiver: Penny Neal of Tazewell; and a host of other nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services were Thursday, December 28 at 10 a.m. at the Claiborne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Lewis and Rev. Paul Collingsworth officiating. Music by Pleasant View Choir. Burial in the Campbell Cemetery at Sycamore. Pallbearers: Carl Bolton, Dennis Estes, Wayne Estes, Doug Venable, Ed Johns and Dillard Barton. Claiborne Funeral Home in charge. ROY S. CONNER Roy S. Conner was born in Harrogate and passed away December 21, 2006 at Mercy Memorial Nursing Center in Monroe, Mi, with his family by his side. He was the son of Thomas and Allie (Dixon) Connor. He married Opal Owens on November 7, 1977. He graduated from Forge Ridge High School. He retired in 1983 from Consumer Powers' J.R. Whiting Plant in Erie, Mi, where he had worked for 30 years. He was a lifetime member of the Floral City Chapter #79 Disabled American Veterans and Masonic Lodge #27, both of Monroe, Mi. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; three sisters. Survivors include his wife: Opal Connor; son: Roger (Mary) Connor; brothers: Doyle (Ann) Connor, Thomas (Jewel) Connor; sister: Marcilla (Farris) Giles; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Funeral services were Saturday, December 23 at 1 p.m. at Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. Interment in the Roselawn Memorial Park. She was a member of Underwood Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents: Huebert and Laura (Duncan) Killion; husband: Glen Epperson; son: Kenneth Wayne Epperson; sisters: Bertha Carmon, Grace Carmon and Mossie Rosson. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Eddie and Gail Epperson; grandson and wife: Bruce and Ann Epperson; great grandchildren: Bradley and Brittany Epperson all of Tazewell; brothers and sisters-in-law: Sherman and Brenda Killion of Michigan, Faye and Catherine Killion of Indiana; sisters: Florence Parker of Michigan and Cecil Atkins of Tazewell; sisters and brothers-in-law: Wanda and Everett Lowery of Michigan and Ruth and Lewis Minton of Tazewell; special sister-in-law: Betty England of Cumberland Gap; and a host of other relatives and friends. CALE FARRIS Cale Farris, age 29, of Tazewell, was born October 8, 1977 and passed away December 24, 2006 at the Claiborne County Hospital. He was preceded in death by his stepfather: Richard Cox; grandparents: Walter and Maxine Farris. He is survived by his mother: Roberta (Bobbie Farris) Cox; brother: Travis Cox both of Tazewell; son: Blake Farris of Thorn Hill; and a host of other relatives and friends.
