    3. Does anyone have Claiborne County families moving from Claiborne County to Macoupin County, Illinois (Carlinsville area), in the late 1820s, possibly stopping in Kentucky and Indiana on the way? I'm tracing a likely suspect for William Walker, born 1792, and his wife Margaret (maiden name unknown), born about 1784 in Virginia. William was probably born in Sullivan County and probably married there but went to Claiborne County by 1816 when the rest of the Walkers settled on Mulberry/Little Sycamore/Hoop Creek. In 1830, he was in Macoupin County, but both a child and a grandchild were born earlier that year in Indiana. A child born about 1829 was born in Kentucky, but all children up to 1826 were born in Tennessee, at least some provably in Claiborne County. -- Phillip A. Walker phillip.walker@gmail.com
