I have the volumes of the deed books that Laura Willis prepared. They give an abstract of each deed and that is why each volume covers only a few years. The abstract gives the grantee, grantor, location, joiners and witnesses - a lot of information. I felt Laura had done this well. There is an index in each volume. The books are 8.5 x 11, soft cover, tape bound. I talked on the phone with Don Simmons of Simmons Publications. They have done some other counties, one being Orange Co., NC and some in KY, maybe others. I think Laura's books are a good resource and Simmons Publications a reputable business.
