    2. Mary Lana Wooten, 92 Tazewell, Tenn. - Mary Lana Wooten, 92, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at her home. She was born Dec. 3, 1914, in Strayhorn, Miss., a daughter of the late Jesse L. and Pearl Bennett. She believed in the Baptist Faith. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, gourmet cook, fine seamstress, avid flower gardener, and a watcher of old western movies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Wooten; two children, Buddy Wooten, and Linda Mason and her husband, Luther; and four brothers and two sisters. Survivors include, her two daughters, Joy Mason and husband Clay, Tazewell, and Lana Strickland Frazier and husband Wade, Hernando, Miss.; two sisters, Jessie Watts and Winnie Woody; one brother, Jack N. Bennett; one daughter-in-law, Bessie Wooten Lexa, Ark.; eight grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Arthur Avery presiding. Music will be by her great-granddaughter Stephanie. Honorary pallbearers will be Clay Mason, Wade Frazier, Wayne Mason, and Donald Short. Memorials are suggested to the Christ of the Cumberland Lutheran Church, 190 Forge Ridge Road, Harrogate, TN 37752. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Creech Funeral Home, Middlesboro, which is in charge of arrangements. ************************************** AOL now offers free email to everyone.
