    1. [TNCLAIBO] 1803 Petition for the Jail and Courthouse to remain at Tazewell
    2. Roberta J. Estes
    3. I find reference to a petition in 1803 for the prison and courthouse to remain at Tazewell in records. It indicated there is a list of signers. Apparently someone saw this list, because they extracted two names. Does anyone have this petition and the list of signers? Has it been published anyplace? Bobbi Estes

    1. [TNCLAIBO] Indian Boundary, Washington School
    2. Roberta J. Estes
    3. One of my ancestors deeds references the old Indian Boundary line. I have a larger map of TN that shows that the boundary line went almost east to west just under the Cumberland Gap and crossed Gap Creek. Does anyone have a map of Claiborne county showing where this old boundary used to be, or know where I can find one. I'd like to find my ancestor's land, and I'd love to see that old rock marked with a D. Later transactions (1823) also reference a church, which I presume is Gap Creek, and Washington School. Does anyone know anything about Washington School? Does it still exist? B-316 1810, Aug 18 - Abner Lea to Lazarus Dotson (Dodson), both of Claiborne Co., for $1400, 560 acres in Claiborne "where said Dotson now lives", beginning at three post oaks and a stone branded "D" on the Indian country line, corner to Joseph Williams, crossing Gap Creek, a stake near Cumberland Mountain, near the top of Poor Valley Ridge, crossing said ridge at the head of a hollow where John Jones formerly lived, a poplar on the Indian boundary line where Aaron Davis now lives. Wit Ambrus Evins, Ebeneser Bruster, Oliver Dalton (probably Dotson). Bobbi Estes

    2. Barbara Kesterson
    3. I purchased this time book from a yard sale for twenty five cents. The book don't have a date, but in the back of the book it has T. J. Harrison, then it has written Harrison House, Sneedville, TN. The book is old and yellow, some of the pages that have nothing on them are torn. The book list all the repairs that was done on bridges, culverts and other water sources. I don't need the book and I would love to give this book to a Harrison Family member. The book list the work that was done from Claiborne County to Hancock County.
