    2. Hello cousins, I'm going to be having some very minor surgery on Monday then I'm off to Virginia for a few weeks so I'll be offline and unable to assist you if you have any problems subscribing or unsubscribing, etc. to the mailing lists. My cousin Darrell Waddell is going to be managing the lists while I'm unavailable. If you have any problems and need help, send him a note at: [email protected] Also, this will be the last time I'll have to remind everyone of the Quilt Raffle that's currently underway to raise funds for the Claiborne County, TN., Cemetery Association. Both Quilts were recently made by my own grandmothers (Cleo's) hands. While I was back visiting a few months back I saw similar quilts selling for $1,200 to over $2,400 (not a typo) depending upon size at the Ranger Station/gift shop at the Pinnacle in Cumberland Gap. Please visit the Cemetery Associations website (url below) for all the pertinent info. And they are a registered non-profit organization so your contribution is tax deductible. WELCOME TO THE CLAIBORNE COUNTY CEMETERIES ASSOCIATION http://www.rootsweb.com/~tncctca/index.htm Warmest Regards, Pam

    3. I was wondering just what a Claiborne county Historian , will do. Work on this site, work out of the library as ours did. I don't believe I know you, but we always need all the help we can get. I was actually not aware we had an old historian. Since all my roots are there in the 1850's I am there a lot. and have sent many there, as most do not realize their Hancock roots are there as well, as outlying areas. Lets just hope we get a really nice variety of materials to work from. I think all would like that. Best Wishes. Betty Hayden Researching Lawsons -Hatfield-Morgan-Leger' .from Early Claiborne Co. to Hancock in some cases.
