    3. I looked at 1830 - there are David Huddleston Sr. & Jr. listed in Claiborne County. Sr is between 50 & 60, has to male kids, 15 to 20, one female, 10 to 15 & one female, 40 to 50. Junior is between 40 & 50 - possible, I guess, but I'd bet ages are messed up. Jr. has male kids, 0 to 5, 5 to 10, 10 to 15 & 15 to 20. Females lidted are 5 to 10, 10 to 15 & 30 to 40. Hope that helps. He would be 53 in the 1820 census. I would like the ages of people that was living with him at the time. His wife would be abt 37. I'm interested in seeing if there are any kids born between 1800 and 1810 living with him and his wife. I'm looking for a William Simmons in paticular and any of his sibblings. I'm thinking that the person who looked this up earlier gave me names, but I may be mistaken about that. > I'm sorry to have to ask this again, but I have misplaced the info received earlier. > Thanks Kyle > > > ==== TNCLAIBO Mailing List ==== > INAPPROPRIATE POSTS SUCH AS, PRAYER REQUESTS, VIRUS WARNINGS, POLITICAL MESSAGES, JOKES, etc., are grounds for your immediate removal from this list. 3. The info I got sometime back could have been from a 1820 tax list. Someone e-mailed me and said that 1820 Claiborne Co and Grainger Co census was not available. So if anyone has access to 1820 Tax list could you see what it says about David Huddleston. Thanks Kyle

    3. Neither Claiborne nor Grainger census for 1820 survived. Seems like there was a fire, or something. The first census that's available for most of East Tennessee is 1830. If you know where they were in 1830, I can look them up for you. 3. Lists: Would anyone have information on Letisha Wolf c 1842 who married Colby Dalton in 1860? I have a Letisha Wolfe as the daughter of Christopher Wolfe, not sourced. This Colby who may be Letisha's husband was born 1842 Grainger Co., TN. Next I have a Colby Dalton with a wife Julia. This Julia was with her Colby in 1880 Grainger Co., TN census with children Maranda, Viola, Lizzie, Ester, Oscar, Horace. My information says that this Julia was a Greenlee but I do not have that info sourced. I also have Victoria Greenlee who married a Colby Dalton. Would anyone know which Colby this would have been, and how Julia may or may not be related to Victoria. Victoria Greenlee's brother William married a Martha Dalton. I would like to know if she is the daughter of Coalby Dalton and Elizabeth McGinnis. (Grace?) Thanks, Sheri in Louisiana --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! 1. William Savage born abt 1816
    2. I am searching for William's wife. The info I have idicates that William is the descendant of Jeremiah Savage and Margaret Hannah. I am a direct descendant from William's daughter Sarah Francis (Frankie) (1838-1914) and her husband Thomas O. Johnson (1829-1890). William died around 1852 in Union County and his Last Will & Testament states that his minor children Margaret, Phoebe, Thomas & James were entrusted to John Sharp as their guardian. Sarah Francis (Frankie) went to live with her aunt, Mary Polly Savage Houston who was married to Benjamin Houston. No wife is mentioned in the will so it is assumed she is deceased at this date. I got a copy of Frankie's death certificate which lists William Savage of Ireland as her father. There is no mother listed. This brick wall is making me crazy so if anyone has any info on William's wife, I would much appreciate it. The death certificate also indicates Frankie was buried on the Ike Shelby Farm in Sharps Chapel. Does anyone know where this little cemetery may be? Veronica Fox

    3. Can anyone tell me if there is/was a "Homestead Cemetery" in Claiborne County? It is not in Johnson's book, nor could I find it on USGS. Data received recently states that an ancestor "is buried in Homestead Cemetery, Claiborne County, TN." I realize this may be "in the homestead cemetery" meaning the family cemetery, but it appears to be a proper name in the report. Thanks to anyone who can advise on this! Ann Grubb

    3. Folks, I am working on some Dalton, Rucker, Wolfe, Coffey lines and I have Victoria Greenlee(daughter of John Calvin Greenlee) who married Colby Dalton. This Colby was born in 1843 and is said to be the son of Timothy Dalton and Delphia Coffey Dalton. She and this Colby are said to buried in the Greenlee Cemetery. My problem is there were apparently four Colbys born in the 1840's and I need to verify my family assignments of all four. Any help on this Greenlee line would be greatly appreciated. Next I have William A. Greenlee, son of John Calvin Greenlee and Mary Mayes, daughter of Liggin Mayes, and this William married Martha Dalton, daughter of COALBY Dalton and Elizabeth McGinnis. William (sibling to the above Victoria) was born c 1834 and Martha c 1837. Any help on this couple would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any consideration and help!
