Adam STACK is listed in the 1850 census for Montgomery Co.Pg#347,Family#573 Adam had 5 sons:Jacob M,25 Uriah S 23 David W 19 George W 17 William H 12 Adam was 60 at this time,his wife Barbara,55. Jacob STACK is listed in the1860 cheatham co census,age 58,along with a John W.,16,and a M.STACK,female ,47.According to info from SolomonMar,Jacob STACK was born app.1801 and is listed in the RobertsonCo.census for 1850,along with JF STACK who is the father of Louis A STACK. Also, I have read on the surname message boards that the STACK"s origninated in County Kerry,IRELAND,in the STACK Mountains. Between alll of us i believe we may unpuzzle the STACKS. Joyce.
